* * Mayor Appoints Another Fenway Resident to Millennium CAC * *
As a result of a tremendous number of phone calls and letters from Fenway & Back Bay residents, the Mayor has responded by appointing FCDC president Steve Wolf, a West Fenway resident, to the Citizens' Advisory Committee for the Millennium Air Rights project.
On behalf of the Citizen's for Reasonable Turnpike Development coalition, thank you. Your efforts and pressure have paid off, and given the Fenway another voice on the panel. Although we all realize that the CAC alone won't determine the outcome of the Millennium project, its (hopefully) another vehicle for community input and influence.
CRTD will continue to seek public information from the Mayor's office regarding the affiliations and qualifications of Turnpike Chairman James Kerasiotes' CAC appointments--and advocate for further changes or amendments to ensure a CAC that is truly representative of the Fenway and Back Bay communities. CRTD will keep everyone posted as news develops.
The current Millennium CAC is:
Chair -- Cheryl Cronin, Marlborough Street
George Hagerty- Fenway Studios
Sue Ellen Kent
Fred Mauet, Marlborough Street
Reverend Michael Grodin, Archdiocese Planning Office
Martha Walz, Commonwealth Ave.
Steve Wolf, Park Drive
