The FCDC has always been a vocal advocate for resident concerns on planning issues. Through three unsuccessful plans for developing the Sear site - and for restoring the "Missing Link" park in front of the Sears Building - we've represented Fenway interest in discussions with developers and city agencies. We helped start the grassroots Kenmore/Audubon/Fenway Planning Initiative (KAFNI) whose groundbreaking 1992 report sketched an imaginative plan for redeveloping Boylston Street from the Sears Building to the Victory Gardens. We continue to press the City to adopt the vision of the KAFNI report, and we're turning our attention to the fate of the neighborhood's 8000 pound gorrilla - Fenway Park.
